Crawling!

We knew Kate was going to be a mover, we just didn't anticipate it being so soon.... Kate, at 7 months, has figured out how to crawl. She throws herself down and pulls herself with her arms and pushes with her legs across the floor- always to get something she shouldn't have ;o) Guess it's time to baby proof....

First Day of Summer School

The Episcopal church near our house has a summer Mother's Day Out Program. Grace went last summer and loved it so we decided to try it again. Grace calls it the "Pooh School" because there is a poster of Winnie the Pooh on the door. She will go for five weeks, two mornings a week. One sign that Grace is getting to be a big girl- carpool line! We don't take Grace to her room at this school- she gets dropped off and she walks there with her class. Getting so big!

Who You Goin' To Call?

This poor possum made its way to my parent's roof.Jeff and my dad decided to take things into their own handsI can't report that they were successful but good effort!

Pictures from Florida

Kate enjoyed relaxing in the pool
The girls made beautiful music with their Nana.
We all enjoyed story time at the local library- stories, songs, a craft and a snack!
Grace tried goggles for the first time. This picture just makes me laugh.
Kate spells TROUBLE
Playing catch with PapaWrestling ;o)
Lots of playing We had a nice visit from one of my mom's friend
Lots of readingand chillin'
I don't even want to know what was going on here... Time with Aunt SarahAnd Uncle JeffDecisions, decisions...End of a great week

So Big

I've always done "So Big" with Kate but lately it makes her squeal with delight. It is really funny how much she loves it. Grace has caught onto our little routine and always asks for a turn.
I started to do them both at the same time and it's hysterical how much they love it. Here are a few pictures of our fun.
Side note- I usually do "This big, so big." My dad took a turn and did "this big, so wide" and my mom scolded him on his adjective. Every time we play it now Grace says "remember when Papa said 'so wide?' Nana got mad at him!" And then she giggles ;o)

Lots of Fun at the Children's Museum

While at my parents we took a trip down to the Orlando Children's Museum and met my sister and Isabella. We were so excited to get in for free with our membership to our local museum. They had lots of great things to do and see.

Here Grace and Papa are driving a train, look out!
They had an exhibit on "Grossology" which was just really disgusting. I'm not even going to go into detail about the smells and sounds we heard. Here Grace and Nana are taking a tour of the nose.
The car "repair shop" was by far Grace's favorite thing. She loved changing the tires, pouring in oil and working under the car. She even learned "righty tighty, left loosey!"
Grace had so much fun playing with Isabella.
So did I!
Kate's first "ride" on the scooter- she loved it!
Even Kate enjoyed playing

Craft time at Camp Nana

My mom got several craft projects for Grace while she was staying at their house. Grace loved craft time and they completed a project just about everyday.

Date with Papa

My mom had plans for dinner one night with her friends so my dad took us girls out for a date. We had drinks and dancing at the square and then went to Johnny Rockets for dinner. We had a blast! Grace was very excited that Papa shared her love of strawberry shakes (and was even more excited that she didn't have to share).
That girl and her drink...
Kate enjoyed some dancing too!
Grace was demanding some pretty wild moves from Papa

The next night my dad had plans so my mom took us out for dinner. We opted for the low key CiCi's pizza and had fun there too! Grace couldn't believe she could have dessert pizza. She said "My dad is not going to believe this. I'm going to tell him and he's going to say 'What the heck!'" Ummm- Jack? Impressive you get in trouble and you aren't even there...

So...You Just Sit Right Here...

Grace wasn't a big fan but Kate loved it- and promptly threw up. Oh well- the Carney cousins aren't as wild as Isabella- maybe next time ;o)

"Square Dancing"

The traditions of strawberry dacquiris and dancing at the square continued....
