Day Three- Playing and Bouncing

We spent our last day at Craig's playing with the new toys and visiting a local "bounce house"
Even Sarah got in on the action
GA Tech played in their bowl game and the DVR didn't record it so we had to rely on the internet to replay the game..
We even found more presents to open!  Thanks to Craig and Laura for hosting us- we look forward to seeing the cabin in the fall when the owners are giving us a second chance :)

Grunewald Christmas- Day Two

We woke up with parents but we still followed the "rules".... traditional matching pj shot..
The picture we are most proud of- none of us ever enjoy taking a picture without a shower on "Christmas morning" but we set the time and took it for my mom :)  We haven't missed a year yet and the picture keeps getting bigger.
Jeff's Wrestalmania....
After calling my parents numerous times to hear of all their failed rescue attempts by multiple tow truck companies, we decided to go and get them before nightfall.  This was the best we had to offer...
Luckily the kind neighbor was able to finally get their car out of the ditch after several hours of attempts so the rescue team was able to save their strength and head back to Craig's house.
Everyone was glad to see these faces(and not just because they had all the presents)!
We had some yummy fondue and started opening gifts

Grunewald Christmas- Day One

Well, it was a great idea...My parents would rent a cabin that was big enough for all of us and we could spend time together for Christmas (a few days after).  Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate...
My mom and dad went up the night before we were supposed to arrive to get everything settled.  A snowstorm made the roads impassible, too bad they found that out while they were on the roads.  After hearing their harrowing story of losing control of the car and sliding down the mountain before finally getting stuck, we were all blessed they were ok and there was someone behind them to witness and then drive them to safety, leaving the car in the ditch.
With my parents stuck at the cabin, we all headed to Craig's to wait until we could get to them, assuming it would just be the next day before the snow melted and we could head over.
The girls loved showing each other the gifts that Santa brought them.
We maintained the schedule- Jack and I were in charge of the first dinner
Craig thinks he can complete with us....
