Kate Walking
Kate has started to take a few steps. This isn't a great example because Grace hijacked it but it's a pretty good view into the rest of Kate's life :) Grace loves to help her little sister

The Love- times three
Grover remains Kate's love and she takes him everywhere. We have spares just in case one gets lost. We usually keep the extras from her but this morning she found all three. Pure joy!

Zoo with Grandma and Pop
The girls hadn't spent much time with Grandma and Pop since we had been traveling so much so we all decided to spend the day at the zoo together. We all had a blast! It was cold but the girls didn't seem to notice. We go to the zoo often but we've never seen all the exhibits in one day, all the shows and ride the train! Grace has been telling everyone we went to the zoo with her Grandma and Pop and they "did everything- even the train!"
The sea lion show-
Kate was a big fan of the animal crackers Grandma brought
After the train ride you got to ring the bell. Grace wasn't quite strong enough but did great with Pop
We went to the rhino show where Pop and Grace got to pet a rhino!
Kate loved petting the llamas
Fun day!

Bling
Kate has a new obsession with necklaces. Everyday she puts one on. We don't even know where she gets them from. Grace constantly hides them in her room so "Kate can't get them" but somehow she always finds another. I wish I had taken a picture of her standing next to the Christmas tree with the beaded garland around her neck and still attached to tree. It did look like beads....
Sometimes they get too heavy.... :(

Hmm... Interesting Religion...
Grace was not feeling well for several days and you could tell it was getting her down. One morning she was telling me at breakfast that she hoped she felt better soon. She then told me "I prayed that I would feel better soon." I was so proud that she would come up with that- we must really be doing things right, teaching her about God. Yeh.... she followed that statement up with "I prayed to Santa. I think he might tell Jesus." And people think we Catholics worship Mary.... :)

Week with Three
We were able to bring my niece Isabella home with us for a week after our trip to Florida. We were all very excited about our houseguest. Things started a little shaky- we left the race with our stuff, her stuff and some of my parents stuff. The car was a little full....
We only had about 45 minutes like this on the way to my parents. It doesn't look good but our resident engineers secured everything well and made sure only the soft stuff was near them. I'll divert from the story for these pictures. We gave Kate her first full sandwich. We couldn't really cut it up in the car. She didn't see to mind :)
We spent the first night at my parents where the girls enjoyed playing with Nana and Papa. Nana even made them a tent to play in
Oh- and we taught Isabella how to use the iPhone :)
We had lots of fun when we got to our house. Everyone actually got along really well
Jack coincidentally had meetings on bath night- actually both of them. I figured it would be easier to have them all in one place so I did it together. They did great.
These girls wear a lot of clothes..
Grace and Kate went to "school" a few mornings while Isabella was here. Poor Isabella got upset when the girls got out of the car and she had to stay behind. She did get to do some fun things- like go to work with Jack.
On Wednesday I took Kate and Isabella to storytime at the library. Both girls loved the Bean Bag Rock song and the computers afterwards
We had lots of fun with our three kids this week. It was a little tricky at some points since we weren't used to IB and she wasn't used to us but we had fun together. Jack and I still laugh about her bedtime routine- she has to have everything in her bed tucked in in a certain order. "Tuck in Mickey. Tuck in Pooh. Tuck in Dora. Tuck in Book, want book out, etc" She could do that routine forever. Poor thing didn't know Grace had us trained so we didn't let it go on too long....
The girls in their shirts from Nana.
Friday night IB and I went to Craig's house to spend the night. We got up early the next morning and flew to Orlando to meet Sarah and Jeff and after a quick lunch I got back on the plane and came home. Pretty cool to have breakfast with my brother, lunch with my sister and dinner with my family and we all live in different states.
Thanks for coming to visit us Isabella! We hope your mom and dad were able to get lots done before your new sibling comes!

Big Girl Haircut
Grace's hair has been getting really long so we asked her Nana to give her one of her special haircuts. Grace has gotten a trim before, but she's never had any length taken off, she's never had it to take off!
Nana did a great job! Grace looks so cute! She also looks about 2 years older :(
