We Won!

Jack has wanted to do a race with the girls since before they were even born.  He attempted it one time before but Grace panicked at the last moment and he ran alone.  This year Grace was pumped and convinced they were going to win!

They all did a great job (with a special thanks to Kim and Murray's double jogging stroller)!

The prize had to be the food that was offered to the runners.  Apparently Grace and Kate didn't count as "runners" so we only got one ticket but Jack did a great job feeding us all!

Kate's Art Show!

Kate had her first art show!  When we were invited, I really thought we were going to see one or two scribbled pictures.  We were very surprised.  Ms. Wanda did a great job with all the kids and made many pieces of art with them.  It was amazing what she did with all the kids during the year.

The funniest thing was that when we walked into her classroom that evening, Kate turned around and said "Bye bye" and waved.  Of course she thought she was there for school!  Then she and her friend Alex went to the snack table and started pounding on it and yelling "Snack! snack!"  Ms. Wanda pulled some crackers out so there wasn't a full riot.

Storytime with Kate

On Wednesdays, Kate and I have the morning to ourselves.  I've been trying to take her to storytime because she really seems to like it.  As with everything, taking Kate to storytime is so very different then taking Grace at the same age.  Kate is much more active and can only sit still for the first 10 minutes and then she likes to run around :)  The songs are her favorite, especially bean bag rock!  We have fun and one day maybe we'll make it through the whole time

Pop helped Grace plant some tomato plants.  She's so excited to eat her own tomatoes one day!

Happy 1st Birthday Aubrey!

Before the party we had a balloon get away but Craig was able to rescue it with the grill tongs-

The party was supposed to be outdoors but Craig and Laura did some quick thinking and had a fun party indoors.  Face painting was very popular with Jack and Jeff as the artists-
