Memorial Day Fun

We spent Memorial Day weekend with Jack's parents and had a great time playing and swimming in the pool.

Our local state park has a "beach" and we had fun with some friends one morning.  It was perfect!  No waves to knock anyone down and it was shallow enough for everyone to feel comfortable.  Only bad thing- real sand :(

Girls Trip to Chattanooga

A few months ago I won a trip to Chattanooga in a bingo game! We had a really busy spring so we never got a chance to use it.  It expired the end of May and I wanted to try and use it so I found a day that wasn't too busy, called my friend Melissa and she, Grace and I went on a girls trip!
Grace thought she was big stuff going on a girls trip and was super excited.  We checked in and went right to a great dinner, recommended by Craig and Laura.  The dinner was good but the best part was our drinks.  First the waiter didn't know what a "virgin" drink was for Grace and then when he brought us our drinks- he gave the virgin one to me and the drink of the day to Grace.... :)
After dinner we treated Grace to some night swimming in the hotel pool- very exciting to go swimming after your bedtime :)
In the morning we met Laura and Aubrey at the aquarium and had a fun morning looking at the fishes

They were watching an underwater show- Grace's favorite part of the aquarium.  She could probably do the show for you- she listened to every word and repeated random facts she learned throughout the day.

We had a fun time at the aquarium, had a great lunch and then saw the Oceans 3D movie.  It was a great trip- thanks Grace and Melissa for taking me with you since you are obviously mother/daughter as everyone assumes :)

Playdate at Bella's

The girls' friend Bella invited everyone over for a great party in her backyard to kick off the summer.  We had a blast!

Happy Birthday Melissa!

Grace was invited to her good friend Melissa's birthday party at Michael's craft store.  We weren't sure what to expect but it was a great idea!  The girls did lots of crafts and had a blast!  (Grace was a little distraught about not being able to wear her fancy party clothes since they were instructed to wear play clothes- love that girl :))

Last Day of 3K

Circle Time
Getting Skittles- You only get a Skittle when you are good.  Grace got a Skittle every day but one day when no one got a Skittle.  The thought of not getting a Skittle was devastating to Grace and Ms. Kristie really made you earn it.

She also loved checking her calendar everyday to see what they would learn about- "what are we learning about today?"  (Although I'm not sure why she checked, she memorized it the first day she got it).  Just like last year, she liked the color days the best.

This year was kind of a review year academically for Grace but she didn't seem to mind and did learn a few new things.  She told me "it's ok that I already know what we are learning, that way I can help my teacher and my friends that don't know."  My sweet smart girl!

P.S.  She is wearing that dress because her friends in 4K were graduating from preschool.  She was so excited for them and kept talking about "what a special day this was for them."

Weekend with Grandma and Pop

Since we were away on vacation, Grace missed their Grandma and Pop so they went and stayed with them for a few days.  Looks like they had a great time!
