Grace decided she wanted to play music after dinner tonight. We don't really have any instruments for her so we tried to improvise- Jack gave her an empty toilet paper roll and showed her how it could be a horn- she looked at him like he was crazy and told him that was for toilet paper. Then we got some Tupperware and put some dried rice in it for a shaker- again, "Daddy! That rice! Not an instrument!" Jack got out his guitar and Grace loved strumming it. Next thing I know we were singing "Happy Birthday" to the Nativity Scene and Grace had asked for a cookie with a candle in it. It was a great impromtu party for Baby Jesus.
