Jack and Tony took the girls and it was a success! All the girls liked getting the candy. Kate really enjoyed putting her bucket out and getting candy and Grace did too.

Since this is Kate's last "first" holiday (sniff) I figured she could have her own post. Right before we took these pictures she did fall so she got a new bump on her head for the pictures. Poor Kate but she got over it quickly.
Here are some "after" shots from her trick or treating experience. She was very excited about the candy (and so was Jack who got to eat it)

Grace had a soccer end of season festival on Halloween- Soctoberbest to be exact. There was going to be trick or treating, games and a soccer practice. We invited Gayle and Mac to come too. It was going to be a great morning but it rained and they cancelled it after they sent an email saying it was still on. The girls were all dressed in their costumes in the parking lot of the soccer field ready to party :( We made a quick change of plans and went to a McDonalds with an indoor playground and have a great time. The girls loved the treats Gayle and Mac brought them.
There are no pictures of Grace because she spent the entire time in the tunnels and slide- something she has always been afraid of in the past. We couldn't get her out this time.
After a quick nap, we went to Grace's friend Abby's birthday party. We had lots of fun playing outside and in the bounce house. Kate LOVES the bounce house and Grace will only go in one when Kate does (so she doesn't get shown up). So I've been spending more then my fair share of time in some bounce houses...

Kate has been taking a Kindermusik class all fall. This week was her last class and all the kids dressed up for Halloween. 
Grace was convinced she should wear her costume to school- she really wanted to show Ms. Kristie her Tinkerbell outfit. She asked both Jack and me a million times to check her calendar to see if she was supposed to wear it. After we told her it didn't say anything about a costume, she insisted we were reading it wrong- she was supposed to wear it. Since her costume was just a dress, we let her wear it and she was so excited.
We were excited to be invited to the Boryczka's annual pumpkin carving party again this year. My dear friend Erika gave birth 8 weeks early to a healthy baby girl that afternoon in an emergency situation so I went to hospital instead of the party. 
Jack had gotten some sherbet at the ice cream place after the soccer practice. We decided to give Kate a try after she stared him down and opened her mouth every time he moved his spoon... She loved it! We aren't really sure what this new move with her tongue is but it was so cute!
Grace's last soccer practice of this season was on Sunday. Grace has really improved since the first Sunday where all she wanted to do was take a water break :) She has really improved on her running, kicking and coordination. I had to go to a baby shower for my friend Erika so Grace's Grandma and Pop came to watch and be with Kate. It looks like both Jacks got a chance to help Grace with her soccer. Pop got some great pictures!
Grace was chosen to demonstrate an agility skill- passing the ball back and forth between her hands. We might have to work on that at home...
After soccer we all met up for a celebration dinner. And then ice cream!
