Jack received a huge award- the L. Burton Barnes III Award for Public Service given by the Birmingham Bar. The girls and I snuck into the meeting and waited somewhat patiently for an hour in a very quiet courtroom. Grace was excellent- she sat with our friend Candi Williams from HOB in the seats (thanks Candi!). Kate and I sat in the hallway and played with the occasional shout out. Jack's very impressive service accomplishments were read and he received a standing ovation for his prestigious award. He had no idea he was even nominated so he was completely surprised. He even gave a great impromptu speech about service! Congrats Jackie!
