Grace Is 4!

My sweet Grace- 4 years old!  You've been looking forward to this birthday because you will be a "big girl when you are 4."  You have grown into quite the independent little girl.  You can do so many things by yourself!  Get dressed, write your name, go to the bathroom and "watch" Kate.  You continue to amaze us with your memory and your intelligence.  You listen to everything and can repeat it days, even weeks, later.  You comprehend the most complex things and can apply what you learn to other situations.  You are doing great in preschool!  Your teacher constantly tells us what a joy you are to have in class and how you are one of the best kids in the class because you always listen to directions and do exactly what you are told- I love my little rule follower!  You still enjoy math but your big excitement the last few months has been learning to read.  You love to figure out how to spell short words and try to sound them out when you see them.  You love to play outside and play with your friends.  You are still shy at first but once you are comfortable you can be the light of the party and you love a stage!  You have got your daddy wrapped around your finger- you have learned that if you ask him to "snuggle" at night it melts his heart and you two are so sweet together on the couch (even though I know you ask so you can watch tv :))  but you do love your daddy.  And I know I say this a lot but you continue to be a great big sister.  Now that you are getting older, you are really looking out for Kate's wellbeing.  You even told me the other day that you were "Kate's other mommy."  She is getting old enough for you to play with and you love to play with her.  We are so proud of the girl you have become!

Grace you are an amazing little girl. Your Mom and Dad have done a remarkable job of raising you to be a gentle and very caring person. We can't wait to see what you will accomplish in the next year.
