Resurrection Cookies

Right before bed on Holy Saturday, Grace, her Grandma and I made Resurrection Cookies.  Each ingredient and process in the cookies tells part of the story of Jesus' journey to the Cross.  We did a scaled down version but Grace really seemed to understand and get into the story.
The last step of the evening is to put the cookies in the oven and seal it up, just as they sealed up the tomb.  Grace loved taping up the oven :)
On Easter morning, Grace couldn't wait to see what had happened in the oven.   The cookies has risen and very good!  It was a great way to celebrate the meaning of Easter.  We look forward to making them every year!
