Grace has always been pretty good about eating her meals. Every so often she will decide she doesn't like something and not want to eat it- usually her vegetables. We would tell her she wouldn't get dessert if she didn't eat it- that worked for a few months. Now as soon as she sits down and sees something she doesn't like, she says "I'm not going to have dessert tonight." The last few weeks she has not been allowed to leave the table until she eats a portion or all of the items on her plate.
Grace decided at dinner that she didn't want her peas. Jack and I had just finished telling her she wasn't leaving the table until she ate them when Kate had a diaper that needed both our attention. When we came back to the table Grace was smiling and told us it was time to play, she ate all her peas! As Jack was getting her off her chair he looked and saw all the peas, smashed up and strategically scattered under her remaining noodles.....

That is awesome!! I love how she would know when she wasn't going to have dessert!
